Kiran is a struggling actress, extremely beautiful, talented and highly motivated. Her destination - Bollywood. She has only one dream in her life, to become an actress but on her terms, without any compromises. She is aware of the predators that roam the corridors of Indian Film Industry, the sexual favors demanded and the biased attitude. But that does not dissuade her from pursuing her goal.
On the other hand Emon is a pilot, who loses his job in difficult times. Highly emotional and gifted with writing talent, he finds himself being pushed into the literary world by circumstances beyond his control.

BOOK 2 - Debasis Sahu is a painter par excellence. He is considered as the Monet and the Renoir of the east. After years of teaching ‘Patachitra’ – the art of religious painting, in his home town of Puri, Orissa; he is ordered by his Guru and the temple Priests to spread this unique art all over India. It becomes the mission of his life. His first destination is Cuddalore, a small coastal town in Southern India, where he starts teaching ‘Patachitra’ in a government school. But destiny has different plans. A massive tsunami destroys his school. He cannot return to Puri for the fear of being labeled as a loser. His only option is Krishna who stays in Mumbai.
But Krishna is unable to help him. Soon Debasis becomes a roadside bum. He spends his days loitering around Kamathipura, a red light area in South Mumbai, with no hope.
Finally, after months of aimless life, his talent is discovered by Sheetal Sanghavi, a ruthless art dealer who is also a nymphomaniac.

BOOK 3 - Shobha is the lone survivor of the Agose family. The agrarian crisis in Yavatmal district of Vidarbha, western Maharashtra snatched away her husband and her two grown up children.
Today, Sobha has lost all senses. She sits outside her small house all through the day, staring at the horizon. Her kajal laced eyes are devoid of all emotions. Her gaze shifts frantically. Her face lights up in anticipation at the slightest sound. Even after two years Shobha waits expectantly for her children to return, who committed suicide to save the family from debt and humiliation.
